Yax Sun, PhD

Dr. Yax Sun is a seasoned computational chemist and technology leader with nearly three decades of experience in biotech and pharmaceutical research. As the Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of QuantX Biosciences, he leads efforts to harness physical modeling and machine learning for small molecule therapeutic discovery. Previously, as Head of Computational Chemistry at Amgen, he led a global team of scientists across multiple sites, supporting drug discovery programs while driving technology and infrastructure development. Earlier in his career, he developed innovative drug design software as a Senior Research Investigator at Bristol-Myers Squibb.  

Dr. Sun holds a PhD in biophysics from the University of California, San Francisco, and a BS in applied physics and electrical engineering from Peking University.
